Sheryl Sandberg

Sheryl Sandberg is an American business executive, philanthropist, and author. Born in 1969, she is best known for her role as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Meta Platforms (formerly Facebook), a position she held from 2008 to 2022. Sandberg played a pivotal role in transforming Facebook from a promising startup into a global advertising powerhouse.

Before joining Facebook, Sandberg held various influential positions, including Vice President of Global Online Sales and Operations at Google. She also served as Chief of Staff for the U.S. Treasury Secretary under President Bill Clinton. Her diverse experience across government and technology sectors shaped her unique perspective on leadership and innovation.

Sandberg is also recognized for her advocacy of women in the workplace.
