Ramit Sethi

Ramit Singh Sethi is an American author, entrepreneur, and media personality known for his expertise in personal finance and entrepreneurship. He was born on June 30, 1982.

Sethi is the author of the 2009 *New York Times* Best Seller, *I Will Teach You to Be Rich*, which offers a six-week program for managing money effectively. An updated version of the book was re-released in 2019. Sethi also released *I Will Teach You to Be Rich: The Journal* in 2022, focusing on financial management with practical exercises. His financial advice differs from traditional advice, focusing on saying “yes” to a rich life rather than just cutting expenses.

Sethi is the host of the *I Will Teach You To Be Rich* podcast, where he discusses financial stress with couples. He is also the host of the Netflix series *How to Get Rich*, which premiered on April 18, 2023, where he provides financial advice to people.

He started sharing his financial knowledge on his website, iwillteachyoutoberich.com, in 2004 while a student at Stanford. Sethi’s website attracts over 1 million readers per month. He co-founded PBworks, a commercial wiki website, in 2005. Multiple outlets estimate his net worth to be around $20 to $25 million.

Sethi graduated from Stanford University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Science, Technology & Society and a minor in Psychology. In 2005, he received a Master of Arts in Sociology, also from Stanford.
