Edith Eger

Dr. Edith Eva Eger is a renowned psychologist, speaker, and author known for her inspiring work on trauma, healing, and resilience. Born in Košice, then Czechoslovakia, in 1927, Eger, a Holocaust survivor, endured the horrors of Auschwitz at the age of sixteen. This experience profoundly shaped her life and led her to dedicate herself to helping others overcome adversity.

After immigrating to the United States, she pursued education, earning a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Texas at El Paso. She has since become a licensed clinical psychologist, maintaining a private practice and working with military veterans, abuse survivors, and individuals facing various challenges.

Eger’s bestselling memoir, “The Choice: Embrace the Possible,” chronicles her experiences during the Holocaust and her journey toward healing and forgiveness.
